Peter has run 17 marathons, first one in Vancouver, 1977, time
of 2:59:57 and
the last one at the 100th Boston, 1996, time of 3:35, his best one in
1983 at
age of 40, 2:44:56. Best time in 2000 for the Grouse Grind 37:35. In
2000, he
participated in the BC Athletics Asics/Timex running series were he
placed second
in the 55-59 age group (scored in 7 events, 5K-10K) and in 2001, placed
first and in 2002, placed second.
Placed 2nd in 60-64 age group in 2003 and 1st on 2004.
1st in 2005, 2006 in the Interior Running Series
Injured in Feb/07 during a skipping class. A torn mensicus, which was
repaired in Dec/07, so missed most of 2008 and now back in 2009.
In 2009, came first in age 65-60 age group in IRA series.
Also did his
first sprint Triathalon in Summerland (along with his great nephew Cole
Moberg)
On 20Dec09, reached a
running mile-stone of 94,592 KM since keeping a log from
1971. (been running since 1958 in Junior High)
Faye and Peter have traveled extensively and destinations include: US (WA, Oregon, Cal), Europe (Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Greece, Turkey), Hawaii, Mexico (Baja, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Manzanio), Costa Rica, and Jamaica. Even 5 cruises, one 19day thru the Panama Canal. Ryan and Peter along with son Ryan, went to Nepal in Oct/2001 for a trek to Gokyo Ri (5360m,17565') in the Himalayan Mountains.

International Conference at Whistler in June/1999. Peter joined the
Hollyburn
Gyro Club in 1993 and enjoys the friendship and camaraderie
offered. He served as president of the Hollyburn Gyro in
2003/04. Now has trasnferred to the Kelowna Gyro Club. He has also
served 4 times as Gyro District IV Secretary and is involved in the
District IV on-line database.
Peter graduated from North Vancouver High School in 1962 and proceeded to earn a BSc. in Math and Physics from the University of British Columbia in 1966. His interest in computers started with a numerical analysis course in third year using punched cards and he's never looked back.
Peter has written custom software since 1966 starting with FORTRAN and COBOL when he worked for IBM for 11 years. Then joined ISS (Information Systems Services Ltd) as a partner and worked there until 1987.He has dabbled in APL, Autocoder (yes that dates him back to punched cards and he can explain the origins of some of the Y2K problems issues), DBase and Clipper, COBOL and Image, Turbo Basic, Business Basic (bbx & pro5), Visual Basic, HTML and many productivity aids including Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Family Tree Maker, Simply Accounting, Communications, Windows 95/98/2000, Great Plains Software, FrontPage. He has been writing custom software systems in Business Basic since 1980.
Presently works for and owns PMP Software Services Ltd, a software consulting company formed in 1987. Major clients include Akhurst Machinery Ltd, General Equipment Limited, Suntech Optics Inc and Hi-Cube Storage Products. Recently, PMP also does work for the Capilano College Book Store, a POS (point-of-sale) application.
PMP is also a dealer for AddOn Software, a distribution system
with G/L, A/P,
A/R, P/O, Inventory, Order Processing, Sales Analysis.
